Supersizing Bliss - Residential Design and a Vision for Architecture Students
Toby Witte had the opportunity to share his vision and insights of his book Supersizing Bliss with faculty and third-year architecture students of the David R. Ravin School of Architecture at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
He spoke passionately about the power of design to improve the lives of the inhabitants of homes, while also highlighting the various forces that can challenge architects in this mission. The audience was introduced to a range of international projects that exemplify thoughtful design, each grounded in the core principles Toby outlines in his book: space, structure, texture, and the interplay of light and shadow. He concluded with an inspiring message for students, offering a glimpse into the professional world they are about to enter and encouraging them to carry forward the lessons they've learned in school.
